Latest news : John safely back from 4 week trip to Long Siang.

John is safely home in Waverton after spending 4 weeks in Sarawak in May and June.
He had a chest infection when he got there which slowed him down a bit - he couldn't go off walking so easily in the jungle.

Most of the time he spent talking and training - 2 of the men are now experts at using the Alaskan chainsaw mill and John made a work bench to use a small chainsaw as a saw bench to make narrower, even planks.

John also took up a hand plane - a new tool for the Penan - they have only seen powered ones!
We often forget our heritage and they, of course, have never seen it!

John will be up-dating the news pages shortly with pictures and more details.
