Long Siang is a small Penan settlement on the Tutoh river. There are about 300 people based here.

There is a small longhouse built by Government contractors and a few huts built by Penan families.

In this area we are attempting to demonstrate the possibilities for developing an alternative and sustainable way of living.

We already have a gravity feed water supply, small scale hydroelectricity, compost toilets and are starting to grow crops.
